Impey Tilesafe Waterproofing System
Waterproofing or 'tanking' a wetroom involves applying a waterproof
layer to the floor of the shower zone, because no matter how well the tiles have been fixed, over time water will always find a way through
the tiles/ grout which can lead to leaks and costly repairs.
TilesafeŽ is a flexible rubberised self-adhesive waterproof membrane sheet
that comes on a roll and consists of a thick bitumen based layer that incorporates a woven glass fibre mesh on one side for the application of tiles. Once applied there is no curing time so it is
possible to fix the tiles the same day.
The product is probably one of the best tanking membranes available for use in wetroom applications as it provides a thick industrial strength impermeable barrier to any water that may escape beneath the tiles.
